At Baxter Inc., we strive to build simple, intuitive tools that help everyday folks live and work with less stress and more efficiency. Right now, Baxter is the AI assistant for Gmail — unsubscribing, cleaning up, organizing, and drafting replies — but we’re excited by the many potential directions we see for Baxter to go and evolve.

Because we seek alignment between our business model and the value we provide to customers, we are building Baxter as a subscription service, and we will never sell any customer data to third parties. Baxter has also been officially verified by Google’s security partners, and follows Google’s data-handling best practices. Think of Baxter like an AI assistant for your Gmail. Whether you need to stop relentless subscriptions, remove old junk mail, auto-organize your inbox, or draft a reply with AI, Baxter helps you manage your personal email more efficiently — all without leaving Gmail.

When you give Baxter access to your email during the onboarding process, you enable our system to unsubscribe, archive, and label emails for you. Baxter doesn’t remove or delete any emails without your express permission.

While Baxter needs to be installed from a web browser on a computer, the organizing that Baxter does will be reflected on your phone’s email app too!

No. By default, all Baxter does is label emails automatically; all emails still land in your inbox as they always do — they’re just also labeled and placed in folders on the side of Gmail. If there are categories you don’t want cluttering your inbox, Baxter can have them bypass the inbox and sit in their folders for when you want them.

As stated in our Terms of Service, we only use the email data we have access to in order to improve our products and services. Nothing is sold — in any sense of the word — to third parties, and nothing ever will be.

Absolutely. When you remove Baxter, no emails are deleted. It’ll go back to the same unorganized inbox you had before! ;)
